Juan Orozco is an Argentinian composer, sound designer, experimental artist and builder based in Berlin. He has performed and worked in Argentina, Uruguay, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, Poland and Holland. He mostly focuses his work around the use and research of different technologies, putting emphasis on how the technology that is used reflects a critical understanding of how it affects the environment, and the way we produce and consume art. He runs his private studio in Berlin, curates and coordinates the Argentinean sound art event TransRadio, the audiovisual experimental event Audiovisuell, the Open Studio Sessions performances and Superficies Aurales radio concerts. He researches fields as aural architecture and political and social aspects of sound/noise and experiments on extended techniques on low brass instruments.
